Our Literacy and Basic Skills Program can help adults to make good decisions regarding their goals. The five goal path descriptions are employment, apprenticeship, secondary school, post secondary, and independence. We can help you to identify your goal and this will help you to engage in learning that will support you at work, in your home, community and broaden education and training.

Centre is to provide a positive, enjoyable environment which enables
adult learners and literacy educators to work together to:

- Upgrade reading, writing, and math skills

- Achieve literacy, training and academic
goals

- Develop socially and emotionally
|
- If you have employment goals or
want to do an apprenticeship, we can help you obtain the skills
necessary to achieve these goals

- Prepare for aptitude tests and Red Seal tests
|
- The information we gather about
individual students is completely confidential
|
- Our staff and Board are bound by confidentiality
policies

- Preparation for the GED (Grade 12 equivalent)
exam offered by the Province of Ontario

- Assistance in learning computer skills
|
- Development of skills needed to be successful
in the workplace

- Essential skills assessments and training
|
- Training support is available;
transportation to the Learning Centre and childcare
